In Memory Of
Robert Lee "Bob" Erdahl
1930 - 2023

Robert (Bob) Erdahl son of Albert and Elmyra Erdahl grew up on farm near Medicine Lake, Montana. In 1942 he moved to Plentywood, Montana along with his parents and sisters, Betty Hilyard and Evelyn Rice.

When the Korean Conflict broke out, Bob enlisted in the Army and was sent to Korea until his discharge from the service.

In 1957 Bob and Jeanette Dahl from Williston, North Dakota were married. They had three children: Jerry (Mary, Katie, John, Scott, Kevin) of Tensleep, Julie (Brad, Cyndi, Melodi) Pate of Casper, Jeff (Elli, Ryan, Megan, Emily) of Casper, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He went to work for Buttrey’s Food and spent 23 years with the firm. Bob learned his trade as a meat cutter while he lived in Plentywood and continued this line of work with Buttrey’s. He later became head of the meat department and helped set up those departments in new stores in Shelby, MT, Yakima WA, and various other towns including Casper, WY. In 1980 Bob and Jeanette purchased a grocery store in Edgerton and later added three more businesses.

In 1994 Bob retired and filled his time with fishing (lots of trips to Canada and Texas), grandchildren and family. Bob was always quick to make new friends and talk to anyone who cared to have a chat. He loved to tease his grandchildren and anyone else he thought he could get away with it.

Services will be June 16 at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery in Evansville, WY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Newcomer Casper. To leave the family a special message, please select the "Share Memories" option.
