Royetta B. Jussel
1938 - 2023

Royetta B. Jussel, 85, of Glenrock, Wyoming died Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions in Casper.

Royetta was born on March 27, 1938 in Wheatland, Wyoming, the second of eight children. Her father, Harold LeRoy Graham was a farmer and a cowboy from Missouri, and her mother, Cleta (Tanner) Graham grew up in the Big Horn Basin of Wyoming.

Royetta and her sister, Rosalie enlisted in the US Air Force in 1957. The Air Force took them to Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas and from there to Warren AFB in Cheyenne for clerical training. (The missiles had not arrived yet.) During this time period she met Keith Jussel from Nebraska and they married in November 1957. From there they were assigned to Keesler AFB in Biloxi, Mississippi. At the end of her enlistment, they moved back to Wyoming.

Keith and Royetta had three children, Dean (1960), Philip (1962) and Michelle (1964). Royetta worked in a variety of clerical jobs around Casper, including Casper College, Industrial and Bearings Supply, and the US Bureau of Reclamation.

Keith and Royetta divorced in 1990. She is survived by her three children; and three grandchildren, Jovan Doherty, Austin Doherty, and Chanel Doherty. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Ian and Alicen Hollingsworth, Nathan, Aliana and Juniper Doherty and Sloan Barr. Finally, Royetta is survived by one sister, Daisy Wright of Casper and a very special friend, Berdina Jussel of Casper.

The family would like to thank the staff at Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions for the gracious and professional way in which they took care of Royetta.

Following cremation, military honors are tentatively scheduled for July 5, 2023 at Oregon Trail State Veteran's Cemetery in Evansville. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions in Royetta's name.

Arrangements are under the direction of Newcomer Casper. To leave the family a special message, please select the "Share Memories" option.
