Vickie Lynn Groover, of Casper, Wyoming was called by her Savior Jesus and went to Heaven on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Vickie was born June 22, 1951, to Robert and Gladys Kutchera in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Vickie was a bright star to her parents with energetic sparkles in her eyes.

After graduating from Germantown High School in Germantown, Tennessee, Vickie attended the University of Indiana receiving a Bachelor Degree. Vickie was a natural and excelled at swimming and gymnastics, eventually becoming an Assistant Gymnastics Coach at the University of Indiana. Vickie also attended The University of Tennessee- Memphis, receiving a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. Vickie had a passion for the sciences and Physical Therapy, where she maximized the physical capabilities of her patients and their lives, as well as for their families.

Vickie was a devout Christian, where she knew the Bible. Vickie was enthusiastic to talk about the Bible, the goodness of God, the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the saving power of Jesus. Vickie was proud of her daughters, Christine and Jennifer. Vickie would talk of their successes, as well as being family orientated and great Moms.

Vickie lived in Miami, Florida, New York City and Memphis, Tennessee. Vickie had an inner lifelong desire to live in Wyoming, moving to Cheyenne, Wyoming in 2001, working as a Physical Therapist and traveling around Wyoming doing relief work. Vickie eventually moved to Casper, Wyoming where she continued working as a Physical Therapist. Vickie loved Wyoming, its beauty and the people she met living and traveling in her pride and joy state. Vickie loved the United States of America and was a Patriot. Her activities and enjoyment included quilt making, keeping up with the news, reading literature, swimming, visiting with family, co-workers and friends.

Vickie would also talk about her beloved pet Dogs she had in her life; Lance and Sackett. Vickie loved to see and talk of God’s beautiful creations around her and His Goodness. Vickie is survived by her daughter Christine (Robert), grandchildren Jack and Abby; daughter Jen, grandchildren Eli and Mylah.
Vickie was preceded in death by her husband Jay Groover in 2000, her Father Robert, brother Robbie, beloved Aunts; Lin, Kiki, Marcella, Yoli, her Mother Gladys and respected Step Father, Pepe.

Newcomer Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. Interment is at Memorial Gardens with a cemetery service at a later date.

Donations may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions in Casper, Wyoming, in Vickie’s memory.
