Vi graduated from Hot Springs County High School in Thermopolis, Wyoming in 1951. She started her lifelong banking career during her senior year of high school at First National Bank. While still in Thermopolis, she married the love of her life, Philip W. Reynolds on April 7th, 1952.
Phil’s job moved them to various locations throughout their life including Casper, Wyoming, Omaha, Nebraska, and Denver, Colorado. Over the years, they went on to have three children: Donald, Kenneth, and Brenda.
Following Phil’s death in December 1990, Vi became the sole provider for her family and grew into a strong matriarch for them. She continued working in banking, and was very dedicated to her job, church and family. Vi retired at the age of 80 after 20 years of service with Hilltop National Bank.
Vi is survived by her son Donald (Brenda), daughter Brenda; grandchildren Jeremy, Brittany (Josh), Amanda (Dan), Hannah (Joey), Crissa; sisters Betty, Georgia (Ked), Clara (Keith), Darlene (James), and brother Frank (Sharon). Vi also has 9 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Vi was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Philip, her son Kenneth, and her sister Lillian.
Services in Casper will be at Newcomer, 710 E. 2nd Street, Thursday, February 1, 2024. There will be a viewing at 9:00 am, followed by the service at 10:00 am. Coffee and cookies will be served afterward.
Graveside services will be held at Olinger/Highland Cemetery, 10201 Grant St., Thornton, Colorado 80229, Friday, February 2, 2024, at 10:00 am where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
