In Memory Of
Peggy Jean Wood
1938 - 2024

Peggy Jean Kelly was born March 3, 1938 to Bert and Anna Kelly. Being the 12th child, Peggy always made sure she was known. Whether she was racing the boys or entertaining the guests Peggy made her presence known. In 1952 while working at the Rialto Theater Peggy met the love of her life, Mike Wood. On September, 30, 1953, Mike and Peggy were married.

Within the next few years they welcomed 4 children, Mike, Gary, Jayne, and Bill. Peggy worked at Safeway for many years before her and Mike started Rocky Mountain Cementers.

Peggy loved to travel. Trips to see Pat, her best friend and sister, a trip to Riverton, or a little drive to the Post Office she always had a good time and came home with a new story.

Peggy has 7 grandkids, 16 great grandkids, and even 1 great, great, granddaughter. Peggy was well known for her incredible memory. She always remembered you and made sure to say "Hi"! Visits with family and friends were one of her favorite past times.

On March 25, 2024 Peggy left this life but the love she shared left a memory no one will forget.

She is survived by her husband Mike Wood, her children, Mike(Beth) Wood, Gary(Marion)Wood, Jayne Johnson, and Bill(Lisa) Wood and her little brother, Dan(Pat)Kelly. Also multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Anna Kelly. Her siblings, Lucille, Zella, Gus, George, Bert Jr., Norma, Thelma, Billie, Minnie, Martha, and Pat. Also her son-in-law, Nick Johnson.

A celebration of life for Peggy will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the VFW, 1800 Bryan Stock Trail, Casper, WY 82601.
