Austin Dale McCarter

Austin Dale McCarter was born August 6, 1999 in Casper, Wyoming. Austin attended University Park Elementary School, Glenrock Middle School, and Natrona County High School. He obtained his high school diploma from Trapper Creek High School in Derby, Montana.

Austin served in the United States Navy from May 2021 to August 2025. Austin's final qualifications in the Navy consist of MAAI Carbine, M16A3, and M4A1 Service Rifle Operator, Active & Passive Barrier System Operator, M18 Service Pistol Operator, Shotgun Operator, and First Responder. He worked as a security specialist and obtained the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class.

Austin loved to fish, cook, listen to music, play XBox, games, and Parkour. He was a loyal, faithful friend with a big heart. He was a wonderful son and his mother's protector and hero. He touched everyone's life. But above all else, Austin loved Jesus.

He was preceded in death by Russ Featheringill, Herb McCarter, Ken Pichlmaier and Elsie Anderson.

Austin's survivors include his mother, Lisa; sister, Kyla; great grandmother, Rita; grandma Debbie; Papa; aunts; uncles; cousins, Chad; Brandon; Britney; Stevie; and Skylar; numerous other family; best friends, Justin and Devin, and so many more friends.

The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Monday, May 11, 2026 at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery, 80 Veterans Road, Evansville, WY 82636.
