In Loving Memory of Bernadette “Bernie” Elizabeth Eddy
Bernadette Elizabeth Eddy, née Evans, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026, at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper, Wyoming accompanied by her daughter, Michaela Eddy.
Bernie grew up in Carlisle, England, the youngest of eight children. She eventually made the journey from London to Lovell, Wyoming where she traded her stethoscope for a tractor. The following nine years she spent building her life and family while managing 15 moves across the country. She was a devout Christian who was incredibly spirited. Coffee, literature, Phil Collins, gardening, and cozying up next to the fireplace with her dog were some of her favorite things in the world.
Bernie will be remembered for her intelligence, exceptional work ethic, Christian faith, determination, and strength that enabled her to endure circumstances that could have overwhelmed others. Most of all, she will be remembered as a mother who fought until the very end of her life with resolve. Her last days in this world were spent with her daughter by her side.
Bernie was preceded in death by her parents, Gerda and Terence Evans and her brother, Albert Evans. She is survived by her daughter Michaela Eddy and her siblings Helen Jones, Thomas Evans, Mick Evans, George Evans, Terence Evans and James Evans. A memorial service is TBD. Anyone who wants to get information is welcome to contact her daughter, Michaela Eddy, via Facebook for updates.
