Brian Edward Grenier, 67, son of Ed and Marge Grenier, was born May 21, 1958 in Worland, WY. Brian entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at his home in Casper, Wyoming.
When Brian was four years old the Grenier family moved from Worland to Casper and Brian resided in Casper for the rest of his life. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1976 and went on to earn his associates degree from Casper College. He was a carpenter and proudly served as a fire fighter for the Casper Fire Department for many years. Brian was instrumental in forming the Partners of Education between the fire department and Sagewood Elementary school, a program that offered children information and education about fire safety. After retiring from firefighting, Brian worked as an activity school bus driver for the Casper schools. He loved being around the kids and enjoyed the long Wyoming drives.
As a true and lifelong Wyomingite, Brian was an avid outdoorsman with a fondness for the terrain and history of the state. From arrowhead hunting to drone flying and photography to fishing and boating to tending his yard and garden, he took tremendous joy in the great outdoors. He even took time to clear the neighborhood walks after every snow, although he certainly preferred the activities of the warmer seasons. Brian participated in the Eagles Annual Fishing Derby every year for forty years, finally achieving the first-place win in 2024.
Brian had a creative flare and was a talented artist. He enjoyed wood carving, painting, and writing poetry. He found meaning in his creations and took great pleasure in sharing them with his family and friends. The bronzed eagle on the Casper/Natrona Fallen Firefighter Memorial wall at Station One is one of his carvings—a demonstration of his devout patriotism and talent.
Making others laugh came naturally to Brian. He always had an arsenal of jokes and a new prank ready for any occasion. Most of his life was motivated by his desire to make others smile or to lend a helping hand. Brian had a heart of gold and would help anyone who needed it.
As a devoted son and dedicated brother, family was always a priority for Brian. He was protective and loyal beyond measure. He was a caring uncle. He loved seeing his nieces and nephews grow and develop. He encouraged them all in their endeavors and always looked forward to updates about their lives. His refrigerator was riddled with photographs of his great-nieces and great-nephews, whom he cherished beyond words. Seeing his family grow was one of his truest pleasures.
Brian was faithful in his walk with God and found fulfillment in the community at Church of the Holy Family.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Marge Grenier, his brothers, Ronald and Mark Grenier, his brother-in-law Paul Hansen, and his nephew, Keith Sorensen and nephew -in-law, Jerry Didion.
Those left to cherish Brian’s memory include his sisters Judy Hansen of Blair, Nebraska, Kathy Sorensen (Mahlon) of Clarinda, Iowa, Cindy Grenier of Casper, Wyoming, Mary Kay Ryan (Clyde) of Rock Springs, Wyoming, and Renee Obst (Rob) of Lincoln, Nebraska; his dear friend Lazetta Neeff of Casper, Wyoming, whom he loved as a sister; his thirteen nieces and nephews and his twenty-two great-nieces and great-nephews; many cousins, aunts and uncles, and friends.
