Charles Dean Dockham

August 8, 1961 — May 31, 2024

Charles "Charlie" Dean Dockham was born August 8th, 1961 to Roscoe and Dorothy "Jean" Dockham in Casper, WY. He grew up in Casper, graduated from Natrona County High School and following in the footsteps of his father, began what would be a lifelong career in the electrical field.

Charlie spent over 42 years as a member of the IBEW Local 322, which he served proudly and loyally, in a variety of capacities, to the last day. Charlie was well respected by all who knew him, his work ethic and integrity taking him to the top in every aspect of the electrical industry. His work at times had him traveling to various places, but Wyoming was always his home. He was fortunate along his journey to be able to fulfill a lifelong dream and spent many years living in his yellow house on the river in Alcova, WY. In August of 2015 he married Beth Lou at this very home and they made a life there together.

Charlie loved the outdoors and was an avid fisher and hunter throughout his entire life. He spent countless hours hunting and fishing not only for himself and family, but also spent numerous years guiding others as well. He passed his love of these sports down to his children and grandchildren, always ready for the next hunting or fishing trip. His most recent adventures took him to Alaska for hunting and fishing and in 2023 he fulfilled a lifelong dream with his son Kodi, traveling to Africa for the hunt of a lifetime.

The only thing Charlie loved more than hunting and fishing was his family. He always had time, regardless of where he was or what he was doing, to offer a listening ear and sound advice. He worked his entire life, doing whatever was needed to provide for those he loved. He was the very best son, husband, father, grandfather and brother. Charlie always said he would live forever, and he will. He will live on forever in the hearts and shared memories of all the lives that he touched.

Charlie died at home, surrounded by the love of many, on May 31st, 2024 following a resolute battle with cancer; "hanging tough" until the very end. He faced the disease with admirable courage and strength with his entire family by his side throughout.

Charlie is survived by his wife Beth Lou, son Roscoe Dockham, his wife Carman and their four children Mason, Caitlyn, Aubree and Jackson, daughter Mandy Blajszczak, her husband Eric and their four children Austin, Micah, Trace and Kole, son Kodi Dockham, his wife Tangney and their two children Taelee and Jesse, grandson Parker, whom he and Beth Lou have raised since birth, his mother Dorothy Jean Dockham, brother Orrin (Lisa) Dockham, sister Tana Maddux, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, Roscoe Dockham, son, Jesse Dockham, granddaughter Tinlee Dockham and nephew Jerry Maddux III.

Family and friends are encouraged to drop in to a reception in his honor at the IBEW Local 322 building at 691 English Dr. on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in his honor to Central Wyoming Hospice or any organization that is dedicated to assisting those with cancer and/or finding a cure.
