Cheryl “Sherry” Sue Caster, 67, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, in the community she proudly called home throughout her life.
Born on November 15, 1958, in Casper, Wyoming, Sherry was a lifelong Wyomingite whose greatest joys were her family, her work, and creating lasting memories with the people she loved. She graduated from Natrona County High School in 1977 and later earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Technology from Casper College in 2000, demonstrating her lifelong commitment to learning and personal growth.
For more than 25 years, Sherry dedicated her career to the Natrona County School District, where she worked in Human Resources. She took great pride in supporting employees and serving her community with kindness, professionalism, and unwavering dedication. Her work was more than a career—it was an opportunity to help others, and she remained devoted to it throughout her life.
The center of Sherry’s world was always her family. She shared 40 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Mickey Caster, building a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished traditions. Together they raised a blended family that remained the source of her greatest pride and happiness.
Sherry is survived by her loving husband, Mickey Caster; her daughter, Angela (Rissler) Reddick and husband, Russell Reddick; her sons, Cody Caster and Jeremy Caster; her grandchildren, Riley “Lucy” Reddick and Tommie Caster; her sister, Deborah (Debbie) (Rissler) Gossman and husband, Terry Gossman, of Elizabeth, Colorado; her brother, Michael Rissler and wife, Eileen (Dryer) Rissler; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Kira Lynnette Reddick (1998–2004); her brother, Donald Rissler (1957–2007); her parents, Harry Rissler Jr. and Jolene (Hack) Rissler; her stepmother, Sue (Shaw) Rissler; and her dear friend, Jean Jensen.
Sherry found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved diamond painting, gardening, traveling, camping with her family, and boating with her brother. One of her most meaningful traditions was creating fairy gardens in memory of her granddaughter, Kira—a beautiful expression of love that reflected Sherry’s caring heart. Christmas was her favorite season, and she delighted in transforming her home into a place of warmth, beauty, and celebration, creating treasured memories for family and friends alike.
Those who knew Sherry will remember her for her generous spirit, quiet strength, thoughtful kindness, and the love she poured into every relationship. She had a remarkable ability to bring people together, making others feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. The memories she created and the traditions she leaves behind will continue to brighten the lives of those who loved her.
