Clifford R. McVay

Clifford Russell "Dick" McVay, 80, of Casper, Wyoming passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025.

Clifford was born in Sheridan, Wyoming to Clifford and Ella McVay, raised in Buffalo and graduated from Johnson County High School. He attended college in Sheridan, Casper, and Denver.

He started his own construction company and worked in Colorado, Nevada, and Wyoming. He met the love of his life, Yolanda King in 1989.

Dick loved all animals and adopted many stray neighborhood cats. Deer, raccoons, and turkeys also knew to come to Dick's yard for food, shelter, and sanctuary and even let Dick pet them. It wasn't unusual to have 15 deer laying in the backyard.

Dick was preceded in death by his father, beloved mother, Ella; sisters, Dorothy, Evelyn, Corky, and Barbara; faithful dogs, Fido and Dood; cats, Bebe, Keeks, Snowy/Boots, Bucky, Lily, Squeaky, Stormy, Gray.

He is survived by his partner, Yolanda; brother, Sandy; sister, Lorraine; numerous nieces and nephews, and cats, Molly, Belle, and Jake.

A graveside service is planned for 11:00 AM on Friday, August 29, 2025 at the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery, 1000 Ash Street, Sheridan, WY 82801
