The beautiful soul that was d’Ann Lee Miller was born on October 4th, 1967 to Bill and Judy Miller in Eugene, Oregon. She was sandwiched as the middle of 3 children, annoying younger sister to Eric, and cool older sister to Kristi.
d’Ann and her family moved multiple times from Oregon to Montana to eventually settling in Casper, WY when she was 10 year old. She lived the remainder of her life in Casper.
She graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 1986, and received a degree in Nursing from Casper College. It was during her time at Casper College where she found her forever partner, Jack Miller.
Jack and d’Ann both received bachelor’s degrees through the University of Wyoming and d’Ann continued on to earn a Masters degree in Nursing through UW, where she became a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Jack and d’Ann were married for 31 years as of August 5th, with an additional 6 years of dating before they tied the knot. Jack and d’Ann attribute their successful marriage to the faith that they both hold; trusting in God every step of the way, and turning to Him in both the good, and hard times of life. They embodied a love of endurance, patience, and continuous sacrifice in order to make the other stronger. They demonstrated and instilled these values in their children, showing how marriage is not easy, but worth every moment together.
d’Ann met many people in her profession as a nurse in Casper, WY. She loved helping patients, and caring for their needs as well as the needs of her fellow coworkers. During her time at Wyoming Medical Center, she held several positions, ranging from a Critical Care Nurse to Employee Health. She held herself to the highest standard when performing any task, nothing was too small and she fully believed that whatever she did, she will do to the best of her ability.
d’Ann and Jack welcomed their first born child, a daughter, Kendahl, in November of 1998. She often said she never expected to be a mom, but it was a role she truly excelled at. Four years later, in January of 2003, the couple welcomed their son Taeron, completing their family. A beautiful and wonderful mother, d’Ann supported her family in everything, never missing a game or concert for either child.
After leaving WMC, she found herself in a role where she truly thrived within the community; working at Dr. Girouard's Weight Loss and Wellness Clinic, (formerly known as “Lets Get Thin MD”). Here she touched the lives of many in the Casper and surrounding communities, primarily helping with weight loss and overall wellness for her patients. d’Ann had a way of genuinely listening to and connecting with every patient she had. She responded with empathy and uplifting support during their struggles, and stood as their loudest cheerleader when they reached the victories they were striving for. Never one to take credit, she found immense joy in helping and watching others reach their goals, because that’s just the person that God made her to be.
d’Ann and Jack raised their two children to become smart, empathetic, and God-fearing adults with both of them getting married to their partners within the last year. d’Ann and the family were blessed to witness and celebrate both events; Kendahl took Josh Cummings as her husband in September 2024, and Taeron took Brooke Johnson as his wife in June 2025.
d’Ann is survived by her husband, Jack; their family pup, Ziva; her two children, Kendahl Cummings (Josh) and Taeron Miller (Brooke); her father, Bill Miller (Molly); and her two siblings, Eric Miller (Donna) and Kristi Miller. She was preceded in death by her Aunt Wanda, Uncle Jack, and her Mother, Judy Miller-Langdon.
A Memorial Service for d'Ann will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Highland Park Community Church, 5725 Highland Drive, Casper, WY 82609.
