Darry Hume "Chicken"

Darry Wayne Hume 65, of Casper WY, passed away surrounded by family on September 24, 2026. Born on June 22, 1961, in Casper WY, Darry was the beloved son of Buellah Bishop and Larry Hume.

Throughout his life, Darry was known for his quick wit, his generosity, and the deep love he carried for his family and his animals. He spent 40 years on the road as a truck driver and was proudly recognized for achieving over one million safe driving miles.

When he wasn’t working, Darry loved playing darts, collecting cars and trucks, and dancing whenever he got the chance. He’ll be remembered for the way he saw the world, his one‑of‑a‑kind sense of humor, and of course, his unforgettable hair choices.

Darry is survived by his wife Tami Hume, parents Tom and Buellah Bishop of Atlantic City WY/Warsaw MO, sister Karrie Oliver of Casper WY, children Loujean (Damon) Ramirez of La Junta CO, Amanda (Jared) Winzenried of Casper WY, Eric (Kagan) Hermel of Casper WY, Ladonna Maben of Spokane WA, Lisa Sprosty of Raleigh NC, Casey Whiteman of Casper WY, Sarah (Branden) Sampson of Moundsville WV, as well as 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Larry Hume, Grandparents Irving and Edna Garbutt, Grandparents Everett and Mildred Buckley, and several aunts and uncles.

A celebration of life will be held on October 10, 2026, at The Eagles Lodge #306 at 11am. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Darry’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Darry can be made to the Casper Humane Society or Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions.
