Denise Marie Thompson

Denise Marie Thompson, was born on April 24, 1983, in Camden, New Jersey to James Bauer and Jeanne Long. She passed away at the age of 42, on March 30, 2026, in Casper, Wyoming. She lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and deep devotion to her faith. Denise spent much of her career as a telemarketer and a Certified Nursing Assistant. She also pursued education at Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College in San Diego, where she graduated to become an esthetician.

Denise was known for her generous spirit, often giving thoughtful and perfect gifts despite struggles with money. She had a kind heart and was deeply committed to sharing the gospel, approaching each day with a devotion to spreading God's truth and love for humanity. Her dedication to studying the Bible was a cornerstone of her life, and she wished earnestly for everyone to know the Savior Jesus as she did. Although Denise loved deeply, her physical strength and energy sometimes limited what she could do, but her legacy of love remains powerful. She shared many joyful moments and stories about her family and friends, always cherishing those connections with warmth and humor.

Her hobbies and interests included crafts, art, playing computer games—especially The Sims—scrolling through Facebook, and participating actively in Bible study groups. She found inspiration in television and music centered around Christianity, which fueled her spiritual journey.

Denise is survived by her mother and step-father, Jeanne and Roger Barton; her two sons, Ryan Bauer and Jordan Bockman; her brother, Jimmy Bauer; Kirby, her brother's beloved dog; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, James Dennis Bauer; her paternal grandparents, Edward and Alice Bauer; and her maternal grandparents, Charles and Jean Long.

Family and friends will gather to remember Denise at a memorial service held on April 3, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 710 E 2nd St, Casper, Wyoming, 82601.

Denise’s journey may have ended on earth, but her enduring faith and loving spirit continue to inspire those who knew her. She now rests as a devoted advocate in heaven, forever cherished and remembered for the generous, kind-hearted woman she was.
