Dennis Lee Bond, 66, passed away peacefully after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. Born on July 3, 1959, in Sundance, Wyoming, to Walt and Nancy Bond, Dennis spent his life embracing the beauty of his home state and the warmth of those around him.
Dennis was a twin and grew up in a lively household. He was a man of deep kindness and selflessness, known for a unique ability to make anyone he met feel like a member of his family. His humor was legendary; a master of the "dad joke," he continued to use his wit to brighten the lives of others until his very last day.
An avid outdoorsman, Dennis was most at home wandering the mountains and prairies of Wyoming. Whether he was rock hounding, shed hunting, fishing, or simply soaking in the sun, he found peace in the natural world.
Dennis’s legacy of kindness and laughter lives on through his survivors: his father Walt(Peggy); his brother Howard (Nancy); his twin sister Denise (Daniel); his daughters Sarah, Devin (Corey), Danyelle (Jett), Desarē, and the many others he was a father figure for; his seven grandchildren, Aysha, Marlon, Gabreal, Mal'aki, Ashten, Giselle, and Colter; and his seven grandpups, Duke, Lucy, Cheyenne, Molli, Cinch, Bear, and Tilly. He joins his mother Nancy, and his brothers, Anthony and Dane, who preceded him in peace.
The family invites all who loved Dennis to a Celebration of Life to be held this coming summer. We will gather under the sun he loved so much to share stories, jokes, and memories. Final details will be announced at a later date.
