Denny Olson

Dennis (Denny) Charles Olson, 68, passed away on March 17, 2026. Dennis (Denny) was born on June 4, 1957, in East St. Louis, Illinois. Throughout his early years, he lived in a variety of places, including Lake Superior, Yellowstone National Park, and Alaska, experiences that helped shape his love for the outdoors before eventually settling in Casper, Wyoming.

Dennis (Denny) was a devoted husband to Terri (Sweeten) Olson, sharing 50 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered around love, loyalty, and family. He was a proud father to Jeremy and Amanda, and an even prouder grandfather to Savannah and Preston, who brought him immense joy. 

Family meant everything to Dennis (Denny). He cherished time with those he loved—whether it was sharing stories, cooking, or simply enjoying their company. He also deeply valued time spent with his children, Jeremy and Amanda, creating memories through everyday moments, conversations, and shared experiences. 

Dennis (Denny) spent his career working as a mechanic and rotating equipment technician, where his strong work ethic and mechanical skill earned the respect of those around him. Outside of work, he was an avid motorsports enthusiast who loved anything with an engine. Especially NASCAR. 

Dennis (Denny) loved time spent outdoors, he cherished hunting trips with his son and grandson. At home, he enjoyed barbecuing and bringing people together over good food and conversation and teasing his granddaughter. He had a special bond with his daughter and very much enjoyed their time together. 

Dennis (Denny) will be remembered for his quick wit, sharp one-liners, and unmistakable sense of humor. He had a way of making people laugh and lightening any room, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. 

Above all, Dennis (Denny) was inseparable from his wife, Terri. Their bond was a true partnership and a lasting example of love and commitment. 

Dennis (Denny) will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Denny on March 22nd from 2-6 pm at the Horseshoe, 7515 W. Yellowstone, Casper, WY 82604.
