Donald O. Kihle was born August 18,1927 in Columbus North Dakota to Andrew and Nelsie Kleppen Kihle. He met Myrtle Simonson in 1948, they married February 20th of 1949. They moved to Montana where he was a mechanic. They moved form Conrad Montana to Evansville Wyoming. He became involved in the town politics which included the fire department for several years, town Marshall for two years and scoutmaster. He was elected to the town council for three years which lead to his mayoral duties elected as mayor of Evansville for the next five years and retired.
He then drove for stalkups rv. They spent their winters in Arizona. Donald and Myrtle were married until her death August 18th, 2013. He was loved by so many and had a unique sense of humor. He enjoyed his time at garden square being social with everyone. He also enjoyed his morning coffee at the mall with his friends.
Donald is survived by his sister Shirley Roloff, sister-in-law Louella Kihle, daughter Candace Rademaker, and several grand and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Nelsie Kleppen Kihle, his wife Myrtle Kihle, his brothers Duane Kihle and wife Adeline, brother Norbert and wife Ardith, brother Loyd, daughter Deanna Sadler, and son Kim Kihle.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to central Wyoming hospice.

There will be a viewing on June 24th, 2025 from 4-6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on June 25th, 2025 at 1pm at Prince of Peace Church, following at the Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery with a reception to follow at Prince of Peace after services.
