Dorine I. Dye

Dorine Isabell Dye passed peacefully on June 26, 2026. She was born on June 25, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan. As a young girl, she moved often with her family while her father served in the United States Air Force. The Bowron family eventually settled in El Paso, Texas, where Dorine met the love of her life, Gordon Dye. They were married in Norfolk, Virginia, on October 25, 1967, while Gordon was on leave from the Navy — beginning a marriage that would span 58 years.

Throughout their life together, Dorine and Gordon lived in Texas, New Mexico, Idaho, and finally Wyoming. Dorine worked in many roles she enjoyed, including serving as a volunteer EMT in Capitan, NM, working at Cablevision in Ruidoso, NM, and later as a bookkeeper at Paul’s Market in Homedale, ID. When she and Gordon settled in Worland, WY, she happily chose to trade working for golf — a decision that brought her tremendous joy.

Dorine loved learning and playing the game of golf. She cherished the special group of ladies in Worland who became her daily golf companions and dear friends. She also loved traveling with Gordon, family, and friends. Some of her most treasured adventures included trips to the Oregon Coast, traveling across the United States on the back of Gordon’s Harley and taking magical trips to Disney and Universal with her grandchildren.

Dorine is survived by her devoted husband, Gordon; her daughter Marnie Camp and husband Jason, and their children Davin and Reagan; her son Scott Dye and wife Jaimee, along with Scott’s sons Duncan Dye (Sarah) and Matthew Wright (Taylor). She was blessed with three great‑granddaughters — McKenzie, Kinsley, and Vesper. She is also survived by her brother, Scott D. Bowron.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett B. Bowron and Doris I. Bowron, and her brother, James “Jimbo” E. Bowron.

Dorine’s life was defined by love, loyalty, and family. Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured and the memories she leaves behind.
