Dorothy Ayako Ito

Dorothy Ayako Ito passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, at the Lifecare Center of Casper, Wyoming. She was born on July 20, 1927, in Bellevue, Washington to Gitaro and Katsue Nomura.

She is survived by her beloved daughters, Karen B Sorenson of Casper, Wyoming, and Cheryl K Ito of Ofallon, Missouri, three nieces and two nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mits Ito, of 69 years of marriage, her two sons, Michael Ito and JB Ito. Moreover, Dorothy is reunited in peace with her two brothers, George Nomura and Knox Nomura, and her two sisters, Margaret Yamaguchi and Nancy Ness.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
