Doug R. Boyd

November 20, 1960 — June 12, 2025

Douglas Ray Boyd, age 64, of Casper, Wyoming passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025.

He was born in Monett, Missouri on November 20th, 1960 to mother Lana Karen Sharp and Father Eddie Ray Boyd.

Douglas was married to Juanita Ione Boyd in July of 2005, his diamond, his light, his love for all his life.

Douglas was skilled in many things. He had many hobbies and enjoyed the company of his family and friends. He loved to tell stories of his life in California, chilling with his friends on the beach and surfing the waves. But, the biggest and most treasured friendship was between him and his kid brother, Dennis Boyd. A friendship Douglas described as 'bonded', a friendship no one can break.

He enjoyed classic rock and played it often. His favorite bands were Guns and Roses, Pink Floyd, and White Snake, just to name a few.  He enjoyed listening to Knockin' on Heavens door, but the song that played the most in his heart was the song of his mother, Lana Sharp. A blissful melody that played in his voice every time he would talk to her or about her, a love between a mother and her son.

Douglas was survived by his mother Lana Sharp, his brother Dennis Boyd, his wife Juanita Boyd, his children: Daughter: Adeline & Alan Schaeffer, Daughter: Marcie & Brandon Moore, Son: Jake & Heather Alcala, Daughter: Kristina Alcala, and Daughter: Erin Hughes, as well as his Aunt Sally Sundin. His grandchildren, Hannah Schaeffer, Skyler Schaeffer, Kristen Topham, Cody Alcala, Colt Alcala, Coda Alcala, Maddie Edwards, Jayden Hughes and 2 great grandchildren, Lilianna Schaeffer and Wrenley Topham.

Douglas was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Ray Boyd and his step-father, Paul Saul Cohen.

A legendary soul that will forever be missed.
