Dr. Curtis K. Li, born on April 25, 1951, in Los Angeles, California, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, in Casper, Wyoming, leaving behind a profound legacy of dedication and compassion. He practiced cardiology for over 40 years, with more than two decades spent serving the community of Casper. His commitment to helping others defined both his professional career and his personal life.
Dr. Li graduated from the University of Southern California School of Medicine in 1977. Following his graduation, he completed a residency in internal medicine at Northwestern University in 1980. His pursuit of excellence led him to complete two fellowships in cardiology—first at the University of Michigan in 1982 and then at Oregon Health Science University in 1983. Throughout his esteemed career, Dr. Li was known not just for his extensive knowledge and skill but also for his loving and hardworking demeanor. Colleagues and patients alike admired his dedication to providing quality care.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Li cherished time spent with his family. He created countless memories while indulging in his hobbies of baseball and fly-fishing with his children.
He leaves behind his wife, Cindy; three sons, Douglas, David, and Michael; and a daughter, Alex. He was a proud grandfather to three grandchildren, Asher, Carter, and Adaline. Dr. Li is also survived by his brother, Carl; sisters, Verna and Donna; and his beloved dog, Chloe.
Dr. Curtis K. Li’s remarkable contributions to cardiology, his unwavering support for his community, and his deep love for his family have left an indelible mark. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Services and Interment are pending in Covina, California. A Memorial Service may be held at a later date in Casper.
