Gary Dean Garvin left this world unexpectedly on May 5, 2026 much like his arrival on
August 10, 1960, where Gary joined the world at a little under 4 pounds. Having overcome some early health challenges, he went on to prosper in many aspects of life.
Gary began a life-long career in landscaping construction in 1978 with the forming of J (Jerre) & G (Gary) Landscaping. This business would span the next 47 years, with semi-retirement coming in May of 2025. The business afforded him numerous opportunities to beautify the landscape in and around Casper. He was always ready to take on new and challenging projects, innovating along the way, always looking for a way to "shave minutes" off the process and making labor more efficient with enhanced technology. With quicker, better machinery, the pursuit of ways to improve the quality was recognized in the finished product. Gary made many lifelong business relationships with other entrepreneurs, maintained friendships with past employees, and enjoyed sharing his experiences with friends and family. He had a vast knowledge of a wide range of subjects, history being his greatest passion.
While maintaining the landscaping business he and his father founded, he took up the sport of fishing and looked forward to becoming a skilled walleye fisherman. He recently purchased the Ranger boat of his dreams and envisioned spending the coming days on Glendo Reservoir.
Gary dated the love of his life starting in the early High School years and went on make Cindy Klein his wife in 1989. Their family grew with the birth of Cory in 1995 and Benjamin in 1999; these precious boys made their family complete. Gary loved his family deeply and hoped to travel and enjoy more time with his sons in their homes in California and Idaho.
Gary is survived by his wife, Cindy; sons Cory (Nikki) and Benjamin (Elly); his mother Shirley; sisters Cheryl, Cathy (Dan), and Connie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jerre, in 2003, and his grandparents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Restoration Church in Casper, Wyoming with a reception to follow.
