Gary Frank Harris, 79, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away on June 8, 2026, at 11:47 a.m.
Born on October 6, 1946, in Parkersburg, Illinois, to Alonzo and Mabel Harris, Gary lived life on his own terms. A lifelong roughneck, biker, hunter, and fisherman, he found his greatest joy outdoors and never lost his love for adventure.
Gary was the kind of man who could make people laugh with a story and hold their attention until the very end. He was known for his humor, his caring heart, and his willingness to help anyone in need. If you needed something, Gary would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. He loved deeply, lived boldly, and never met a stranger for long.
Whether he was casting a line, hunting in the hills, riding his motorcycle, or simply spending time with friends and family, Gary appreciated the simple things that made life meaningful. He loved his dogs, cherished good company, and found beauty in the world around him.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sara Campbell.
Gary is survived by his children, Frank Hill, Tonia Hurtado, Nichole Levasseur, and Amber Harris; numerous grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and countless friends and loved ones who will miss his stories, laughter, and larger-than-life presence.
Though no public services will be held, Gary’s memory lives on in the stories he told, the lives he touched, and the love he shared. His adventurous spirit and generous heart will never be forgotten.
“A life well lived leaves footprints that time cannot erase.”
