Listen to Obituary

Glenn Allen Marshall was called home to be with his Savior on May 8, 2026. Glenn was born August 15, 1934 to Alvin and Ella Marshall in Norfolk, Nebraska. He was one of seven children.

There simply are not enough pages to adequately describe and honor Glenn. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, as well as a patient and kind brother and leader. He was also a man who embodied Christ’s love, integrity, and embraced adventure.

He married the love of his life, Edith Mae (Rowlett) Marshall on April 6, 1957. His love for Edith has been described by many who knew them as the purest love they’ve ever seen, and a true example of how marriage should be: modeling Christ’s love for his church. Edith often said they broke the mold after Glenn, and she “got a good one.” He put her first, always.

Glenn served his country in the Army, which took him to Germany for a time, a journey that fed Glenn’s sense of adventure. He and Edith raised two children, David and Jane. After a work injury, Glenn went back to school to obtain his drafting degree. While in school, he, Edith, David and Jane would travel to Alaska in the summers, where he would work with his brother-in-law, in order to enable him to continue his studies full time in the Fall. Glenn was fearless. Fond memories of those trips to Alaska, and his adventurous spirit live on in his children’s hearts.

Shortly after obtaining his degree, another adventure called his name–Wyoming. The family built a beautiful home on Casper Mountain. Glenn enjoyed hunting and hiking on Casper Mountain, as well as projects around their Casper Mountain dream home. He was very artistic, and a talented carpenter. He and Edith quenched their thirst for adventure regularly, through travel to many places such as Boston, Hawaii, and Nova Scotia. They lived in Florida, both seasonally and full-time, and Colorado, continuously exploring all corners of the United States.

Glenn worked for Natrona County School District in Casper, directing all maintenance and facilities projects. He prioritized taking care of people in all he did, knowing sometimes that meant it was better to ask for forgiveness later than to ask permission first. All who knew him were blessed by his kind, patient, and gentle ways.

In heaven, Glenn is reunited with the love of his life, Edith. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Norma and Alice. He is survived by his children, David Marshall (Shannon) of Durant Oklahoma, and Jane Slee of Casper, as well as his grandchildren Nicole Slee, of Casper, Elijah Marshall, Naomi Marshall, and Eliya Peak (Anthony), of Durant, Oklahoma. He is also survived by one sister, and three brothers.

A memorial service will be held at Mount Hope Lutheran Church on May 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Project Kenny, to honor Glenn’s service and fellow veterans.
