Jana Louise Oler

The Oler and Wolfe families of Casper. Wyo. sadly announce the death of Jana L. Oler on Sept. 1, 2025 following a series of strokes ending with acute embolic stroke with atrial fibrillation. She was surrounded with family during these last days in Banner Wyoming Medical Center.

Jana was born on Dec. 22, 1941 the oldest of five children born to the Jack L. and Pauline L. Wolfe marriage. Jana was born in Clifton, KS. Jana married Jackson K. Oler in 1959 and there were three children born to them; Sterling Keith Oler, Dawn Renee Oler and David Oler. Her daughter, Dawn, described her Mother sayng "She had a need for speed and a desire to win! Jana was the only woman to race with/against men on snowmobiles, and motorcycles". Jana had trophies and ribbons awarded to her in Story - Casper Mountain - Gillette, Wyoming. The racing associations finally set up races for women only as well as the men's groups.

Jana and Jack were the Yamaha dealers in Casper for a number of years. They were both formidable racers! Because they were the owners of the Yamaha Dealership, they won a trip to Japan by selling the numbers of machines needed to win the trip.

In her spare time, Jana had the Von Oler Kennels specializing in Rottweilers and Show Beagles. Her dogs earned her lots of trophies and ribbons. She also had help from her grandchildren Jennifer and Joe stepped into help her with the competitions. They won so many ribbons, they wanted to build an extra room for the accolades. Jana and her daughter, Dawn also taught dog training classes at Casper College for many years.

She and Jack worked together in all of their businesses. The last business was the Country Stove Emporium. They both worked in it until it was retirement time. Through all of this I tried to convey Jana as the ultimate sales person; of course, Jack had his abilities to contribute but he could not take the ultimate title ---Jana also sold wigs with all of these business's and was successful in all of these endeavors!

Jana is survived by her children. Keith (Sherrie) Oler; Dawn Miller; Dave (Theresa) Oler; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Pauline Wolfe, sister, Joyce Bowden, and Husband Jack Oler.

Contributions to the pet rescue of your choice in honor of Jana will be much appreciated.

A Celebration of her life will be held at the Casper VFW on November 15th, 2025 at 5PM.
