Janace Ann Chapman, a devoted registered nurse and cherished member of her family, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, at Central Wyoming Hospice, after a courageous battle with cancer that spanned several years. Born on May 27, 1949, in Coffeeville, Kansas, Janace dedicated forty-eight remarkable years of her life to nursing, making a significant impact in multiple states and diverse hospital departments.

Throughout her extensive career, she demonstrated unwavering commitment and compassion, particularly in her work with Hospice programs. She was instrumental in establishing the Chapman Hospice Home in Casper, Wyoming, a testament to her enduring dedication to patient care. In recognition of her remarkable contributions to the Hospice community, Janace received the esteemed Nightingale Award, highlighting her passion for providing comfort during life's most challenging moments.

Janace's warmth and spirit were felt by everyone who crossed her path. Known for her loving nature, she had an extraordinary ability to care for others, always looking out for their well-being. Her goofiness, infectious laughter, and sense of adventure endeared her to both family and friends alike. Janace had a unique way of calling people out when they needed it—a mark of her honest character. Renowned for her green thumb, her garden flourished under her care, much like the relationships she nurtured throughout her life.

Education was a vital part of Janace's journey; she graduated from Nursing School, laying the foundation for a life committed to helping others. Her hobbies included puzzles, sewing, baking with her grandson Tyler, gardening, and going camping. She cherished scouting for animals alongside David, activities that brought her immense joy and reinforced their bond.

Janace was incredibly proud of her family. She found great happiness in raising her son, David Chapman, and loved watching her granddaughter Chelsi and her great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kaelyn, grow. Her legacy of love and commitment to family will continue to resonate through them.

Janace is preceded in death by her parents, William and Janace Annell Ross. She leaves behind a loving family that includes her son, David (Connie) Chapman, her granddaughter Chelsi, her great-grandchildren Tyler and Kaelyn, and her sisters, Billie and Shelia.

Janace Ann Chapman will be remembered not only for her professional achievements and the lives she touched through her nursing career but also for the lasting memories she created with her family and friends. Her good heart, laughter, and formidable spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
