Janet Lincoln passed away peacefully on August 15th at Westward Heights Care Center in Lander WY just short of her 86th Birthday.
Janet was born in Lusk Wyoming on September 16, 1939 to Joe and Fern Wolfe. She was the youngest of two daughters. Janet went to school in Lusk and graduated from Lusk High School.
As a young girl Janet worked at the drive in theater in Manville and there she met her husband Keith Lincoln. Janet and Keith were married in Lusk in 1957 and moved to Casper where their son Rod was born in 1958.
Keith worked as an Ironworker and his job moved them around to several states and towns including Rapid City SD, Lander WY, and Green River WY, before settling in Casper WY. Janet and Keith had their second son, Mark in 1963.
Janet was a homemaker and was involved in church and had a strong faith. She was very close to her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was involved in their lives and milestones. She always was willing to take them for pancakes with strawberry sauce, or rooting for them through their wrestling and sports years.
Janet loved sports and was a die hard Broncos fan, she even gave her insight about their first preseason game this year. She also loved the Boston Celtics and one of her prize possessions was a life sized Larry Byrd cardboard cutout.
Janet loved to hear about her grand-dogs and grand-kitties. She always asked how they were and was very happy to have them come visit. The stories always made her laugh.
In 2007 Janet sold her home in Casper and moved to Riverton to be closer to her family. While in Riverton, she met many dear friends and enjoyed their company. In 2024 Janet moved to Westward Heights Care Center in Lander WY.
Janet was loved by, and loved all who cared for her. She often talked about about how kind and caring the staff was.
