In Loving Memory of Jerome “Jerry” Joseph Ressler

Jerome “Jerry” Joseph Ressler, 92, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in Casper, Wyoming.

Jerry was born on August 4, 1933, to John and Elinor Ressler on the family wheat farm in Mendham, Saskatchewan, Canada. He was the oldest of five children. After losing his father as a teenager, he migrated to the United States, attended school in Idaho Falls, ID, and became an X-Ray Technologist—work that eventually brought him to Casper, WY. He worked at Natrona County Memorial Hospital, where he was charmed by a new, young nurse who became the love of his life, Rosalie. They married on July 6, 1963, and were blessed with 62 years of faithful marriage. Together, they raised three sons and a daughter. He was the proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren (and counting!).

In the early 1970s, he started in real estate, where he became known as a reliable, honest, and hard-working real estate broker until the day he passed. He prided himself on helping people with the largest investment most will make in their lives.

Jerry was an avid outdoorsman in his younger years and spent any extra time hunting and fishing with his sons Greg, Mike, and Brad. He, his buddies, and his sons enjoyed coon and cat hunting and competed in and won many awards at western field trials with his prized hound dogs. He also enjoyed pampering and spoiling his only daughter, Jennie. As he aged, his passion turned to golfing. He eased up on his golfing instructions to his wife when Rosalie shot a hole-in-one, achieving HIS lifelong goal! He participated in several local tournaments, including winning the Little Dilly in 2009 with his youngest son, Brad. He made many memories and lifelong golf friends.

Jerry kept his wit and trademark banter until the very end, offering the same warmth, humor, and lighthearted spirit that defined his life. He spoke only old German until the age of five—a small but meaningful reminder of his humble beginnings before the remarkable life he built.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Rosalie Ressler; his four children: Greg Ressler; Mike (Maria) Ressler and their five children; Jennifer (Matt) Keating and their eight children; and Brad Ressler; along with five great-grandchildren (and counting); and his sister, Betty (Len) Boris. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Elinor Ressler; his brothers, Albert and Henry Ressler; his sister, Rose Wig; and great-grandson Rylan Kolar.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church, with a rosary beginning at 10:30 a.m. A burial service will follow the Mass at Highland Cemetery.
