JoAnne Lois Siebke, a remarkable woman whose heart was as vast as her spirit, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, in Casper, Wyoming, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 4, 1936, in Elm Creek, Nebraska, JoAnne's journey led her through a fulfilling career in nursing and a life filled with love, adventure, and many cherished memories.
For the majority of her professional life, JoAnne dedicated herself to the art of healing as a registered nurse at Wyoming Medical Center, where she served with compassion and competence until her retirement in 1995. Her commitment to her patients was evident in everything she did, a testament to her caring nature that extended beyond her work to every individual fortunate enough to cross her path.
JoAnne was not only a devoted nurse but also a passionate homemaker with an impressive array of talents. Known for her incredible baking and cooking, she took joy in creating delicious meals and treats that brought people together. A true lover of life, JoAnne embraced the outdoors, cherishing moments spent backpacking, camping, hiking, and fishing. Her adventurous spirit took her across the globe, with travels that spanned from Alaska to Mexico, Canada, and Ireland, which held a special place in her heart.
An avid gardener and seamstress, JoAnne found beauty in the simple pleasures of life, expressing her creativity through quilting and reading. Her stubborn determination was often lovingly noted by her children, who appreciated her unwavering strength and commitment to her family. JoAnne's laughter, warmth, and infectious joy endeared her to all who knew her, solidifying her reputation as a beloved mother, sister, and friend.
In May 1959, she married the love of her life, Bill Siebke, in Amherst, Nebraska. Their union, filled with love and partnership, brought forth three wonderful children: Gina, Kevin, and Carter. JoAnne took immense pride in her family, celebrating every milestone and achievement with joy. Though Bill passed away in 1996, the legacy of their love and the values they instilled in their children have continued to flourish.
JoAnne is survived by her cherished children, Gina, Kevin, and Carter; her dear sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Bert Ronsick of Tucson, Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lois (Pinnel) Nelson; her beloved husband of 37 years, Bill Siebke; and her brother Bob, along with his wife, Helen Nelson, JoAnne’s beloved sister-in-law and best friend.
