Jose Reyes Orona Rangel, a beloved family man, was born on September 21, 1964, in San Jose Ermita, Chihuahua, and passed away February 24, 2026, at the Wyoming Medical Center, surrounded by his family. He was noted for his hard work ethic during his many years in the oil field, where he made friends easily and was well-loved by his colleagues.
Jose's personality was one that brought joy to those around him; he had a great sense of humor and was often the source of laughter amongst family and friends. His caring nature was evident in his dedication to his family and children.
He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Tatiana Selene Rosales; his daughters, Brenda (Rafeal) Acosta and Mariana (Erik) Acosta; his son, Jose Orona; and his daughter Betzabel Orona. He was the proud grandfather of three grandchildren, Rey, Rafeal, and Brady Acosta. Jose cherished his mother, Maria Lidia Rangel, and shared close bonds with many brothers and sisters, as well as with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jose leaves behind a legacy of warmth and love, with many treasured memories held dear by his family. His daughter Brenda will fondly recall the first time he taught her to drive, while his son Jose will remember the lessons of hard work imparted to him during their time together in the oil field. Mariana will cherish the moments spent learning to ride her bike without training wheels, and Betzabel will hold close their special dances together. Jose enjoyed horseback riding, rodeos, and boxing. He enjoyed working and providing for his family.
As we remember Jose, we honor a man whose proudest accomplishments were his family and his friends. A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Casper, WY, on March 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a prayer service at 2:00 PM.
