Joseph Francis Herrmann, 92

Joseph (Joe) F. Herrmann, 92, died peacefully in his assisted living apartment in Casper, Wyoming, on November 15, 2025 of COPD (lung) complications.
Joe was born on March 4, 1933 in Jackson Heights, New York to the parents of Eugene Herrmann and Amelia Herrmann (Hammer). After high-school Joe was drafted in the United States Army, 1953, and served at the end of the Korean war in France as Heavy Truck Driver. He was stationed in France responsible for transporting personnel and supplies throughout France until his discharge in 1955. After the service Joe went to technical school for investigative work. He Graduated with a 2 year technical degree in investigative schooling.
Joe got engaged to Josephine Laurelli on September 7, 1957 and then got married on September 7, 1958.
After graduation from his technical college, Joe became employed with Wackenhut Corporation as a private insurance inspector and investigator, and later the McClave Company. Joe became an active bowler, hunter, and fisherman.
At age 60, Joe retired and moved with his wife to a retirement community in Stuart, Florida where they enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and playing Bocce, Shuffleboard, and Bowling. Joe was also an Usher at his local Church.
At 85 years of age, Joe and his wife moved to a Retirement community in Tucson, Arizona. He enjoyed playing bocce and fishing. On September 7, 2020, on their 62nd Wedding Anniversary, Joe's wife passed away.
In 2022, Joe moved to, Evansville, Wyoming, then later to an assisted living facility in Casper, Wyoming, to be close to his Daughter, Diane Herrmann-Gallinger, until his death.
Joe, will always be remembered as a loving, kindhearted, and witty person and who was always smiling. He was a devoted and loving father, husband, and will always be remembered. Joe will begin his journey into heaven and reunite wit his wife, family, and, friends. He will be missed dearly and will be forever in our hearts.
Joe is preceded by her parents Eugene And Amelia Herrmann; Sister Dorothy Maher, and brothers Vincent,
Gene, Edward, and George Herrmann. He is survived by his children John Herrmann (Erin), 65, Surfside
Beach, SC; Diane Herrmann-Gallinger (Rick), 62, Evansville, WY; Joey Herrmann (Deb), 57, Denver, CO;
Grandchildren, Ashley Speed (Garrick), 34, Billings, MT; Brittany Dickon (C.J.), 33, Atlanta, TX; Kyle Dickon, 31 ,
Fort, Carson, CO; Jimmy Collver, 22, Casper, WY, Jimmy Herrmann, 29, Slingerlands, NY; and Great Grandchildren, Landon Speed 14, Billings, MT; Noah Speed, 10, Billings, MT, Mariella Speed, 8, Billings, MT: and Kylan Dickon, 11, Houston, TX.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at St. Patrick's Church, Casper, Wyoming, with Eulogy at 1000-1030, Mass 1030-1130, Interment Service 1200-1230 at Oregon Trail Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors, Evansville. Wyoming, Luncheon 1:00-4:00 p.m. St. Patrick's Church Commons, Casper, Wyoming. Flowers may be accepted at St. Patrick's Church.
