Judy Joanne Brasiel, known affectionately as "Juddles," passed away at her home in Evansville, Wyoming on December 2, 2025. Born on March 13th, 1957, in Casper, Judy graced the earth with her presence, bringing warmth and joy to everyone she met.
In her professional life, Judy dedicated 24 years to Defense Technologies before retiring, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment. Her educational journey was marked by her GED and studies at Casper College, where she graduated with a focus in Career Office Studies. Though her formal education provided her with knowledge, it was her zest for life and learning that defined her as a student of life. In the end, it was her devotion to her family that shined through. This allowed her to care for her mother and finalize the hard work and dedication to doing what she truly loved, which was caring for her family!
Judy was truly one of a kind. Known for her huge heart, she had an unwavering affection for her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Her spirit shone through in everything she did, from her love for the outdoors and fishing trips with her family to her cherished moments sipping wine or margaritas while enjoying the thrill of gambling. Judy's stubbornness was legendary, yet it only endeared her more to those around her.
She had a very large family and loved each one of her siblings. She survived by her siblings Harold (Kristine) Aguilar, June Aguilar, Corney (Cindy) Aguilar, Valentino Aguilar, Brice (Janine) Aguilar, Everett Aguilar, and Faye Aguilar. She had many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who she adored as well. Any time she got to spend with them was time well spent.
Her proudest accomplishment will forever be her family, which included her son Michael (Katrina) Brasiel, her daughter Shona Brasiel, stepdaughter Lori (Timothy) Rickford, stepsons Charles and Robert Brasiel. Judy’s love extended to her grandchildren: Shantel (Wesley) Lucero, Desirae Bryan, Vanessa (Randall) Bass, Brooke Brasiel, Grace Brasiel, Anthony Brasiel, Logan Zook, and Shelbie Zook along with several great-grandchildren who brought more joy and laughter into her life than she thought was possible.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Cornelio and Mary Aguilar, her sisters, Mary Merlien Aguilar and Angela Aguilar, as well as her former spouse, Cecil “Rob” Brasiel. Their memories will remain a testament to the depth of her love and the bonds that united her family.
As we remember Judy Joanne Brasiel, let us celebrate her spirit—her laughter, her love, and the beautiful mark she left on all our hearts. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
