Judy Morrill

Judy Morrill, 87, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

Judy - one of 15 children - was born in Box Elder, Montana to Rudy and Margaret Wanke on December 30, 1938. She was raised in Havre, Montana. She married and had 5 children. She found the love of her life, Tom, later in life, and they were married for 45 years. In the last couple of years, they moved to Gillette, Wyoming from their 100 acre ranch in Rocker, Montana to be closer to most of her siblings.

Judy loved to cook - especially baking cakes (everyone knew her as "The Cake Lady"). She thrived on hosting family gatherings around by her huge dining room table. She enjoyed home decorating and made amazing fringed coats she called "eagle wings." She always dressed to the nines - her shoes matched her purses, her jewelry was spectacular. She even sold the coats right off her back if someone complimented her on her attire. Judy loved the Lord and would testify to anyone she met to bring them to know Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Rodney Pappas; daughter, Valerie Dass; son, Albert Sanders; five brothers, Walter Wanke; Harold Wanke; Bud Wanke; Jerry Wanke; Rudy Wanke; son-in-law, Ruti Westlake; and great granddaughter, Karina Pappas.

Judy is survived by husband, Tom; daughter, Linda Westlake; son, Larry Sanders, siblings, Margie Schaper; Connie Arnold; Leonard (Jackie) Wanke; Tarcela (Ron) Rickman; Loucella (Jim) Parrish; George Wanke; JonnieRae (Jerry) Teets; Mike (Rhonda) Wanke; Kenny (Joan)Wanke; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
