Justin Duane Overman passed away on September 29, 2026, in Casper, Wyoming, at the age of 49.
Born on December 6, 1976, to Teresa (Terri) Lynn Overman (Sullivan) and George Duane Overman, Justin grew up surrounded by family. Over time, his family grew to include additional siblings and extended family members who became part of his story. His family also included a large circle of friends who can attest to Justin’s loyalty and kindness.
Justin was a natural athlete. As a child, he loved soccer, hockey, and baseball, but his true passion was baseball. His natural talent and determination shone through every time he picked up a ball or a bat. As a left-handed player, he excelled as both a pitcher and a first baseman. His love for the sport began in Little League and eventually led him to play college baseball in different states. To this day, when his siblings are asked what comes to mind when they think of Justin, their immediate answer is baseball.
As an adult, his interests expanded to include golf, pool, darts, and, of course, baseball and softball. Justin was also an avid bowler. At times, you could walk into the bowling alley almost any day of the week and know you would find him there. He was so skilled at bowling that he bowled several 300’s.
Justin was so much more than a talented athlete. He was a skilled residential remodeling contractor who enjoyed his work and took great pride in his craftsmanship. He also had a natural talent for mathematics and a unique ability to understand angles and use them to his advantage, both in his career and in sports such as pool, golf, darts, and baseball. He especially enjoyed applying these skills to the game of poker. These were just a few of the many interests and talents for which he will be remembered.
When Justin walked into a room, everyone who knew him knew he was there, even without seeing him. Those who didn’t know him quickly became his friends. His loyalty was unwavering, and his love for his family and friends ran deep. His kindness, grit, and humanity will forever be remembered.
Justin was fortunate to be part of a large, blended family. Throughout his life, his family grew to include a second mother and additional siblings. This unique family dynamic gave Justin a large immediate and extended family who loved him dearly.
He is survived by his father, George Overman; his second mother, Susan Christy; his brother, Aric Overman; his sisters, Krisa Mathis and Annette Wedgewood (Christy); his brother, Duane Christy; nieces, Innocents Wimmer, Alamea Wimmer, Izzabella Wedgewood; nephew, Colton Christy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Sullivan; his sister, Darci Mathis; brother, Jason Overman; and grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
Justin’s imprint will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed.
