Katherine Louise Parmely

With hearts full of love and sorrow, we share the unexpected and sudden passing of Katherine Louise Parmely “Tink” on July 11, 2026, in Casper, Wyoming.

Born on December 21, 1965, in Pocatello, Idaho, Katherine—fondly known as “Tink” for her kid at heart Tinkerbell spirit—was raised among the mountains and plains of Casper she loved so dearly. She graduated from Natrona County High School with the Class of 1984. Though life took her to Arizona and Texas for many wonderful years, Casper was always home. It was the place that held her heart, her memories, and the people she loved most.

Katherine’s life was marked by love in many forms. In June 1995, she married Cameran Bahr, and together they raised their son Daniel and welcomed daughters Sara and Emma. Though that chapter came to a close in December 2011, love found its way back to her. Thirty years after first meeting at the Holiday Inn Bar in Casper, she reunited with Ron Parmely, an old friend who became the love of her life. They were married on June 3, 2014, and shared a beautiful life built on laughter, creativity, friendship, and unwavering love.

Her career took her through many roles over the years, including KTRS Radio from 1994 to

1997, Fox KFNB 20 from 2011 until her retirement in 2016, as well as positions with Sky Mall, Audio Express, the YMCA, media marketing, event planning, and several temporary jobs throughout the years. The job titles never defined her. What she loved most about every position was the people. She never met a stranger, and every workplace quickly became another place to build friendships and make others smile.

She especially loved planning events that brought communities together. Nothing made her happier than seeing families gather and children having fun. One of her greatest joys was creating and setting up the children’s activity stations for downtown Casper events, where she poured her creativity and heart into making memories for others.

Katherine was fun-loving, adventurous, and forever young at heart. Growing up in Casper, she loved skiing and speed skating, proudly competing on local teams. Her love of the outdoors never faded. Whether exploring Beartrap, Fremont Canyon, Alcova Lake, the Falls at Rotary Park, Yesness Pond, having a campfire, or walking along a beach, she could always be found admiring nature—and picking up a special rock or seashell to take home. Every adventure ended with another treasured addition to her ever-growing collection.

When she and her beloved husband Ron retired, they turned another passion into “Elmo and Tink’s Wood Creations.” Together they built handcrafted pieces surrounded by sawdust, laughter, and love. Their workshop became another place where Tink’s creativity and generous spirit flourished, and she continued creating until her final days.

Service wasn’t simply something she did—it was who she was. While raising her children, she cherished being a stay-at-home mom and dedicated countless hours volunteering at their schools, serving as a PTO leader and class mom. After returning to Wyoming, she continued giving back through Joshua Storehouse, where her unwavering compassion earned her the Governor’s Award for Volunteer Service. Whether helping organize an event, serving a neighbor, or simply offering encouragement to someone in need, she found purpose in making life brighter for others.

Above all else, her greatest joy, proudest accomplishment, and true purpose in life was her family. Becoming a mother was the role she treasured most, but becoming “Granny” was the greatest gift of all. “Mommy” and “Granny” were the titles she wore with the deepest pride. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and there was nothing she loved more than making each of them feel uniquely cherished. She lovingly gave every child and grandchild their own special nickname—a simple but deeply meaningful way she showed that each one held a one-of-a-kind place in her heart. The laughter of her grandchildren was her favorite sound, and every moment spent with them was a memory she treasured.

Katherine is deeply missed by her husband, Ron Parmely; her children, Daniel Bahr, Sara (Matt)

Disbrow, and Emma Bahr of Texas; her stepchildren, Bryce (Emily) Parmely of Wyoming, and

Jayde (Dylan) St. Clair of Utah; and her treasured grandchildren, Emerson Bahr, Jackson

Disbrow, Weston Disbrow, Madison Parmely, Megan Parmely, Copelynn Hysell, Tucker Parmely, Tate Parmely, and Daisy St. Clair. She is also survived by her stepfather, “Dad” Barry Horn; and siblings Dan Cutler (Kellie), Fred Cutler, Ben Horn, and Noreen (David) Rogers.

She is joyfully reunited in heaven with her beloved mother, Martha Horn; her biological father, John Cutler; sister, Diane Horn, Mother In law Arlene Parmely; and father in law Al Parmely

To know her was to know kindness, laughter, generosity, and unconditional love. She reminded us that life is meant to be celebrated, that strangers are simply friends we haven’t met yet, and that the greatest legacy we leave behind is the love we give away. Her spirit lives on in every rock and seashell collected on an adventure, every act of kindness shown without expecting anything in return, every laugh shared among family, and in the countless lives she touched simply by being herself.

As her son so beautifully said:

“We choose not to lose Katherine (our mother), but instead gain an angel who will walk among us throughout our lives. In our minds and hearts she will always be amazing and stubborn, keeping us stronger each day, as her presence will always be with us.”

Though her earthly journey has come to an end, Tink’s light, love, and unmistakable spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of all who were blessed enough to know her.

A Celebration of Life will be July 31, 2026 at 6:00 PM at The Best Western on I25 and Center (formerly know as the Parkway Plaza and The Ramada Inn). Food and beverages provided. This will be a night of listening to her favorite music, dancing, storytelling, and learning more about her life through video and pictures with fun and laughter. Katherine did not like the color black so please dress in bright fun colors and be ready for a night of fun the way she wanted it.
