Linda Ruth Mosteller, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away on May 31, 2026, in Casper, Wyoming, joining her Lord and her beloved husband in eternal rest. Born on May 3, 1951, in Atchison, Kansas, Linda lived a life defined by faith, kindness, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to her family and community.
Linda graduated from Atchison High School and went on to build a successful career in technology. She began her professional journey as a data entry specialist with TWA in Kansas City before dedicating many years of service to the State of Wyoming as a computer programmer where she earned numerous certifications. She retired with pride after a distinguished career with the State of Wyoming.
She met then married her husband, Billy Mosteller on July 3rd, 1972 in Casper, Wyoming. And together they had three children.
Known for her gentle spirit and compassionate heart, Linda truly never met a stranger. She was kind, accepting, and selfless, always willing to help anyone in need. A devoted Christian, she lived her faith through acts of service, generosity, and love, touching countless lives along the way.
Linda found joy in creating beauty around her. She was an accomplished seamstress, passionate gardener, and talented quilter who treasured time spent working on projects with her quilting group at First Christian Church and her best friend Shirley. She loved sunflowers and irises, adored dogs, cats, and raccoons—both real and stuffed—and enthusiastically embraced every family gathering and celebration.
Her greatest pride and joy was her family. Linda was her children's biggest supporter, faithfully attending their skating competitions, sports events and horse shows. She was also a devoted grandmother who delighted in every moment spent with her grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her children, Matthew (Jodie) Mosteller, Melanie (Jerod) Roumell, and Stacey Mosteller; her beloved grandchildren; and her siblings, Marjorie Ross and Larry Kuhn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Norma (Criss) Kuhn; her husband and the love of her life, Billy R. Mosteller, who passed away in 2020; and her sister, Sandra Bentley.
A dedicated member of First Christian Church, Linda served on the church board, played handbells for many years, and actively participated in church life. Her faith, servant's heart, and dedication left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
