On Wednesday, February 18th, Linda Lee Steffey got to "break on through to the other side" in the comforting presence of her devoted and loving husband, Paul and two sons, Brad and Kirk.
Linda was born January 19th 1950, to Edward and Sylvia Johnson of Casper, Wyoming. She attended and graduated from Kelly Walsh high School in 1969 and shortly after that she went on a blind date where she met her forever husband, Paul Steffey, and only after 3 weeks of dating the two lovebirds decided to tie the knot and start a family together. They welcomed their first son, Todd, on September 17th of 1971. Then came their second son, Brad, born October 14th 1974. 4 years later that they decided to try and have a little girl but instead they welcomed their third son, Kirk, born September 12th 1978.
Linda love rock and roll music from a young age and said she would even love it when she got old...and did she ever. After starting her career as a data entry clerk for a short time she settled at the Townsend building here in Casper in a secretarial position. For 31 years she helped many of our town's leaders - ranging from judges to lawyers to geologists and many other entrepreneurs - of Natrona county become what they are today. In her spare time she loved to travel and attend car shows around the country with her husband, Paul to show off their prized hot rods - all 56 Fords - those two were unstoppable and hard to beat until the end.
She will always be remembered as a loving mother, wife, and best friend. She was the rock of her family and will be missed immensely. Now it's time for her to be with her oldest son, Todd; her mother, Sylvia AKA Granny Goob; and father, Eddie.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; two sons, Brad and Kirk; two brothers, 1 in Colorado and the other in Casper; two sisters of Casper, and two grandchildren, Addie and Brandon.
Per her request she wanted no services and only close family for a grave side on March 3rd at 10:00 a.m.
