Lloyd Kenneth Brown, 87, of Glenrock, Wyoming passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

Lloyd was born December 9, 1938 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Ken and Dorothy Brown and grew up on the family farm outside of Mitchell, Nebraska. In 1954, Lloyd was the first Eagle Scout, Silver Leaf, and Order of the Arrow from the Mitchell Boy Scout Troop. He attended Haig rural school and graduated from Mitchell High School in 1957.

Lloyd married the love of his life, Lee, in 1968 in Casper, Wyoming. The couple moved to Glenrock, Wyoming in 1969 where they welcomed their two wonderful children, Karl and Sheri. He served as a volunteer fireman in Glenrock for several years. He served on the town council for 4 years, and worked for the Town of Glenrock Public Works Department for a decade. Lloyd served as the Circuit Rider for the National Rural Water Association and started the Association of Rural Water Systems in Wyoming in 1985. By the time he retired the office had grown to 9 employees. In his retirement, Lloyd was a bus driver for the Converse County School District #2.

Community was an important part of Lloyd's life. He was a member and Past Master of Glenrock Masonic Lodge #22, A.F.&A.M. He joined Golden West Chapter #37, Order of Eastern Star and served as Worthy Patron three times in Glenrock. He served the Grand Chapter of Wyoming, Order of Eastern Star as Worthy Grand Patron in 2001-2002. Lloyd served in several additional positions in the Grand Chapter.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lee Brown; son, Karl (Kelly) Brown; daughter, Sheri (Jessie) Lampin; grandchildren, Jessica (Wyatt) Pollard and Cody Brown; step grandchildren, Colton and Rebecca Lampin; and sister, Jeanne Laessle.

Lloyd continues to give to his wider community by electing to join the School of Medicine at the University of Colorado, Anschutz's anatomical study program. According to the Colorado Anatomical Board, the giving of one's body at the time of death for anatomical study is truly a noble and commendable act. It is a gift of inestimable value both now and to future generations.
