Lola Clayson Rassat

Lola, at 87, passed peacefully in her sleep at her apartment at Edgewood, Park Place, Assisted Living, the afternoon of 10/7/25. She was quite happy there under the watchful and tender care of the staff, after her health began deteriorating steadily over several years. She spent the last year of her life at this facility. She was preceded by her Father, Thomas O Clayson of Pocatello, IDwho was the eldest of 14 brothers and sisters. Her Mother, Flora Barbara Cary of Great Falls, Mt., Sister Maureen Powell also of Great Falls.
She was married and divorced twice. Lola worked at Albertsons for many years and lived in Pocatello, ID until 1990 when she transferred and moved to Casper, Wyoming to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Lola met and adopted Melissa into her family. Lola over saw the remodel of Melissa’s home in the Wolf Creek area and lived there for approximately 20 years.
Lola is survived by her x-husband JD Rassat, 97, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, they remain friends. Four children, Teresa Williams, her husband Jim Williams, and William Dean Walters, of Glenrock. Melissa Sanderson of Casper/Pheonix and Michael Walters, whereabouts unknown. She has 3 grandchildren, Nicole, Erik and Brandi. 6 great grandchildren and many others who called her grandma.
Lola enjoyed traveling, puzzles, gardening, and spending time with Family and Friends. She loved traveling the world with Melissa! Lola saw the Congo in Africa, Australia, Hawaii and many other wonderful places.
Lola requested that there be no funeral. She wanted to be cremated, and her ashes scattered on the mountain. A celebration of Life will take place later this year as Family can plan.
