Louise Blanch Wheeler

Louise Blanch Wheeler, 104, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Louise was born on December 31, 1921, to Louis Phillips and Blanch Ruth Hartwell. She lived a long and beautiful life filled with love, family, and countless memories.

On October 1, 1940, Louise married the love of her life, Wallace Woodrow “Pat” Wheeler. Together, they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage before Pat preceded her in death on October 13, 2000. Their love and devotion to one another remained a beautiful part of Louise’s life.

Louise was a devoted mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her four children: Ken (Donna) Wheeler, Donna Williams, Ed (Sharon) Wheeler, and Laura (Gerald) Mack., her brother, Lyle Phillips, age 100, of Camp Verde, Arizona.

Her family continued to grow throughout the years, and she leaves behind a remarkable legacy of 17 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 40 great-great-grandchildren—a total of 112 descendants who carry her love and memory forward.

Louise was a gifted and dedicated crafter who especially loved making quilts. She lovingly made quilts for all of her grandchildren, continuing this special tradition until she was 103 years old. Each quilt reflected her creativity, care, and deep love for her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wallace Woodrow “Pat” Wheeler; her parents, Louis Phillips and Blanch Ruth Hartwell; and five brothers: Clifford, Edward, Emmett, Thomas, Roger, and her son-in-law Don Williams.

Louise will be remembered for the love she gave her family, the wisdom she shared, her creative spirit, and the many lives she touched throughout her 104 years. She was the heart of a large and loving family, and her legacy will continue for generations to come.

Her family is grateful for the many years they were blessed to have her and will cherish the memories she created with each of them.

Her life was long, her love was deep, and her legacy will live on through the generations who loved her.
