Maria Fatima Madruga, 78, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving husband and family.

Born on December 13, 1947, on the island of São Miguel in the Azores, Portugal, Maria was a devout Catholic whose life was deeply rooted in faith and prayer. She had a compassionate heart and a special devotion to caring for others, particularly the poor and those in need.

Maria is survived by her beloved husband, João Armando Macedo Madruga; their son, João Luis Medeiros Madruga; daughter-in-law, Charleen Marie Madruga; and three grandchildren, Sabrina, Alina, and Olivia Madruga.

A Rosary prayer service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home in Casper, Wyoming, at 5:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Casper. A luncheon will be provided afterward, offering family and friends an opportunity to gather, share memories, and celebrate Maria's life. Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m.

In Maria's memory, the family welcomes white roses (her favorite flowers) sent to Newcomer Funeral Home or memorial donations to St. Patrick's Parish or Catholic Charities.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
