Mary Ellen Schneider entered a peaceful sleep on the 4th of July and awoke in the arms of our Lord on the morning of July5th-just six days shy of her 88th birthday.
The youngest of six children, Mary had three sisters and two brothers. Later in life, she learned of a stepbrother and stepsister as well. She began working as a teenager and continued into her 70s, dedicating herself to a variety of roles over the years-including waitress, real estate agent, golf assistant, greenhouse volunteer, and convenience store manager.
Mary was passionate about her hobbies. She was a skilled bowler, a Master Gardener, and a club champion golfer. She enjoyed playing gold on courses across the U.S. with her proudest trophy being a gold putter for a hole-in-one. Her creative spirit shone through in her love for growing flowers, learning to quilt, singing show tunes, and playing cards with her friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved sisters Lillian, Olive, and Mabel, ad her two brothers, who passed away at a young age.
Mary is survived by her children: Stephanie (Terry), Neal (Susan), Stacy, and Susan; five grandchildren: and six great-grandchildren. Her life was guided by the motto she lived by:
“I want to be an achiever.”
A Memorial Service for Mary will be held on Saturday July 26, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Casper Newcomer Chapel.
