Rita Jain Beardsley

Rita Jain Beardsley, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, at the age of 95.

She was born on January 27, 1931, in Laramie, Wyoming, to Dr. Ernest and Mrs. Ethel Batchelder. She was the twelfth of thirteen children in a large and lively family. Rita experienced profound loss at a young age—her father passed away in 1933, and her mother in 1947. These early hardships helped shape her deep love for family, her resilience, and her lifelong appreciation for togetherness and connection. The bonds she shared with her siblings and the family she built became the foundation of her life.

On September 11, 1949, she married the love of her life, Dee Beardsley. Together they built a life rooted in commitment and devotion, sharing 71 wonderful years of marriage until Dee’s passing in September of 2020. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love, loyalty, and steadfast companionship.

She is survived by her sons, Steven Beardsley and Kent Beardsley (West Lutz); her grandsons, Michael Beardsley (Crystal Campbell) and Matthew Beardsley (Melanie Beardsley); and her cherished great-grandchildren, Bryce and Brooke Beardsley. Her family was her greatest pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Rita will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and unwavering love for those around her. Her life was one of grace, perseverance, and deep devotion to family. She carried a strong Wyoming spirit throughout her life, and her greatest happiness was found in the presence of those she loved.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. February 21st, at Faith Bible Chapel in Casper, Wyoming, officiated by her friend, Pastor Dale Fitzsimmons. Reception will follow with light refreshments and snacks.
