Robert "Cowboy" Lee Buckallew Fowler

Robert Lee Buckallew, 47, of Casper, Wyoming passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at Centeral Wyoming Hospice. Robert was born to Bruce Fowler and Lois Fowler (Buckallew) on October 8th, 1978 in Casper, Wyoming.

Robert grew up in New Castle, Wyoming, and moved throughout the United States during his childhood but later settled back in Casper. Robert attended High School at New Castle High, where he was successful in multiple areas. With his favorite being bull riding.

As Robert got older he continued in the Bull riding community and started building his family. Where he went on to have multiple children. Robert loved every single one of his children and had become extremely proud of who they have become as adults. Robert had an art of working with his hands, from crafting copper bracelets, woodworking, and welding. He took on many different jobs throughout his life, but for the majority of his career he was a welder and fabricator; as well doing ranch work. He was also very passionate about boxing, stockcar racing, foraging, hunting and was an avid fisherman. 

Robert then fell head over heels with his wife Taffy at a "honky-tonk bar" in 2014; Where they latered committed their love to each and got married in 2022.

Robert was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2019, he had a long battle fighting cancer. Having many doctors appointments, treatments, and hospital stays. Taffy was by his side every step of the way.

Robert is Preceded in death by; Mother, Lois Fowler Grandparents, William & Christeen Fowler & Clifford Buckallew & Dolores Weekly

Robert is Survived By; Wife Taffy Buckallew, Father Bruce Fowler, Children Abby Nouser, Brittany Mendoza, Bruce Buckallew, Bryce Buckallew, and Ashley Buckallew, Brother William “Bill” Fowler, Grandsons Travis and Koltt Mendoza. Aunts, Pauline Fowler, Billie Fowler,Viola Ballieu & Georgette Timm. Uncles, David Fowler, Larry Fowler, Doug Fowler, Rodney Fowler & Timothy Buckallew. Many other family & friends

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 11:00am until 2:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel in Casper.
