Services for Robert “Bob” Paul Sale will be held on May 20. 2025 at 11am at the Oregon Trail Veteran’s Cemetery, Evansville, Wyoming. Bob was born on March 9, 1949, in Wheatland, Wyoming and passed suddenly at home on May 1, 2025, in Casper, Wyoming. Bob was born to Paul Quince and Vera Jean (Hood) Sale. He grew up in many states from Wyoming to the mid and southern states following his father’s work as a boiler and tank maker which kept the family moving. Bob was an avid explorer, hunter, fisherman and helped his mother take care of his younger siblings while his father was away working. He enjoyed his outdoor activities be it alone or with his brother, cousins or whoever wanted to join. Bob graduated from high school in Alabama in 1968.
Bob was drafted in the Army in May of 1968 and proudly served in the Vietnam War as an Aviation Communications Specialist. He was honorably discharged in 1971 and received several medals. This time in the war created several battles for Bob which he struggled with for many years but triumphantly overcame. After returning to Wyoming, Bob worked in several trades before eventually earning his journeyman’s electrical license and working as an industrial electrician around Wyoming and the western United States. He was very proud of being an electrician and the opportunities it gave him.
In 1973, Bob married the love of his life, Jaqueline Mason who had two young daughters, Roxanne and Miquelle. In1974, Bob and Jackie welcomed their son, Mason Paul Sale. Bob and Jackie divorced but they remained close and loyal friends until the end. Bob’s relationship with his only child would bring him a lifetime of joy and pride. Mason followed in Bob’s footsteps and joined the electrical trade spending many years traveling around the US working together. This continued until Bob returned to Casper to be close to his mother who he lovingly cared for until his passing.
Bob had four granddaughters - Chloe, Macy, Elsie and Qunicie, who were the apple of his eye. He enjoyed watching them grow and supporting and attending all the sporting and school events that he could. Teaching them how to hunt was very special to him and getting to see them all be successful in their hunts, and more importantly in life was a highlight for him.
Along with his grandchildren, his favorite things in life were his family, his many close dogs throughout his life especially Shade, fishing, hunting, good people, the Broncos, the Bills and most of the time the Rockies. He decided to get a cat (Murphy) this last year and got to bond with him as his house buddy.
Bob will be truly missed by his family and friends as most people that knew him, knew him as a kind and friendly soul that was willing to help anyone who needed it. He is survived by his Mother Vera Fultz, Son Mason (Amy) Sale, Granddaughters Chloe (Zach) Engberg, Macy, Elsie and Quincie Sale, Sister Nancy Stroh, Aunt Dorthy Nichols, Uncle Jim Hood, and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
He was proceeded in death by his father Paul Sale and brother Michael Sale.
