Listen to Obituary

Longtime Casper real estate broker and beloved community leader Roberta “Bobbie” Stratton passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026, in Casper, Wyoming, with her family by her side. She was born in Sheridan, Wyoming, on November 16, 1940, to Milton and Mae Johnson.

Bobbie married her husband, Fred, in 1974, and together they built a life rooted in partnership, hard work, and deep love. In 1983, they founded Stratton Real Estate, where they worked side by side every day. For over 40 years, Bobbie was a dedicated Realtor, and together, she and Fred became known and respected as two of the most knowledgeable and trusted brokers in the industry. Bobbie earned numerous professional designations, including past president of Casper’s Multi Listing Service (MLS) and Realtor of Year in 1992. She and Fred led their business and their lives guided by the Cowboy Code of Ethics; values of honesty, integrity, and doing right by others.

Beyond her work, Bobbie was a lifelong rancher alongside Fred in both Natrona and Converse Counties. Their ranch in Boxelder Canyon was truly the heart of their lives, a place where some of their most cherished memories were made. Whether she was working, ranching, or spending time with those she loved, Bobbie lived with purpose and joy.

Bobbie treasured her time at Stratton Real Estate, but when she stepped away from the office, you could often find her on the golf course, sharing laughter and friendship with those closest to her. She was proud to serve as the first female president of the Casper Country Club and remained an active member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood (Philanthropic Educational Organization). Bobbie was generous in her support of many organizations and quietly gave back to her community in countless meaningful ways.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, who passed away 13 years ago. After many years without him, her story now comes full circle. She is survived by two of her brothers, her children and their spouses, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with her Stratton Real Estate family and many dear friends who were like family to her.

A celebration of Bobbie’s life will be held this coming summer.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to be made to Casper Humane Society.
