Robin Ekler, 64, of Casper, passed away suddenly on February 2, 2026. He was born in Denver, Colorado on March 8, 1961 to his parents, Norma Dean Ekler and Robert George Ekler. He was preceded in death by his son, Robin Ekler, Jr. (son) and Roberta Shook (sister). He is survived by his daughter, Alexandria Ekler. He was also survived by his siblings: Robert Ekler Jr., Rebecca Kegley, and Ramona Knipstein.
Robin worked for many years as an elevator mechanic before retiring, later returning to the field as an elevator inspector. Throughout different periods of his life, he also held a federal firearms license and worked as a skilled gunsmith.
Robin had a lively personality and enjoyed making friends with various people from the community. He enjoyed authentic conversations with people he met on a day-to-day basis to detract from the monotony of daily life. Robin valued a positive attitude and helping people. He loved the outdoors, and was truly at peace when photographing the bears and fishing in Alaska.
