Seth McKeag Ramsey, age 47, will forever be remembered by his family, friends and the art community. From the start, Seth was a powerful and yet gentle soul. His strength in spirit and openness to observe all aspects of the world, fueled his life purpose - to create. Seth’s heart was true and fully committed to those he loved. He left this realm due to natural causes on March 3, 2026. He will be dearly missed.
Seth was born December 26, 1978 in Thermopolis, WY to Tony (Raymond Anthony) Ramsey and Donna Ramsey. The youngest of four children, Seth grew up in Wyoming and spent most of his early years in Glenrock where he was active in sports, especially basketball and baseball.
From a young age, Seth had a vision and passion for art. This led him to attend Casper College and then the University of Kansas, where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts. After spending time living and traveling away from Wyoming, Seth returned home to be closer to family and made his life in Casper, where he worked for many years as a tattoo artist and continued to produce art prolifically. He shared his work with others generously and it made him happy to know when others appreciated his art. When you’re out hiking, you may see one of his many pieces painted on a rock, hanging on a tree or hidden in the rocks.
Seth is survived by his mother, Donna; his sister, Sarah; his brothers, Derek (Lana) and Jeremy (Kylie); his nieces Erin, Elise and Maeve; and his nephew Thomas.
A celebration of Seth’s life will be held March 13 at Art 321 in Casper, WY at 2 pm. All who knew and appreciated Seth are welcome to attend. To honor Seth’s life and work, we will be publishing a book of his art. We ask that you contribute by sharing high resolution images of any artwork that you may have of his (tattoo, painting, collage, notebook sketch, picture, etc.). Please include your name and how you knew Seth or found his art by sending this to sethmckeagramsey@gmail.com. 💜💜
