Listen to Obituary

Sharon Sue was born November 1st, 1943 to Jack and Russella Mayo in Casper, Wyoming.

She graduated from Natrona County High School in 1962 and was a proud Mustang, supporting her grandchildren through their sports and academics as well.

She married Bruce Bundy on April 14th, 1961 and they had four sons together, Michael, Kirk, and the twins- Mark and Miles. She was a pivotal part of many clubs and sisterhoods including the “Twins Club” where the mothers found a sense of community while spending time with other twin moms.

On April 4th, 1987 she married Delbert Thomas and they spent retirement living in Phoenix, Arizona and traveling the world. They were active members in the Shrine Club, Lion’s Club, and the American Legion. They traveled from Arizona back to Casper for summers, holidays, and important occasions frequently visiting her children, grandchildren, and Del’s family. Never missing an event or family get together. They spent all of their free time with their grandchildren and family when possible.

She got a degree from Arizona State University in Business, which she was extremely proud of.

Grandma was a scrapbooker and crafter all her life. If you knew her, you probably have a scrapbook from her to commemorate your time together. She decorated for every holiday including her “miniatures” and themed villages. She made every house a home with her decor and love. She loved Elvis like he was her own family member and would have easily claimed him as her husband if given the chance. She had every T-shirt, photo, magazine, CD, movie, and poster of him that she could get her hands on. She loved the beach, sea shells and lighthouses including them in at least one room in her house to remind her of the sea.

After her husband Del’s passing in 2013, she continued to live in Arizona in the home that they made theirs. She drove back and forth 16+ hours multiple times a year to be with her grandkids and spend holidays in Casper. We finally convinced her to move home closer to us and she has resided at Garden Square Assisted Living of Casper for the last two years. The girls have treated her like their own grandma lovingly calling her “Share-Share”.

To Garden Square- the debt we owe you for the care of Sharon is immeasurable. Thank you for making her a part of your family and treating her like your own for the last few years. You are truly part of her family and ours forever. We love you!

She was stubborn, proud and finished whatever she put her mind to. She was compassionate, loving and strong.

She is preceded in death by her son Michael, her parents Jack and Russella, her sister Kathy, her husband Del and their dog Titan.

She is survived by her sons Kirk, Mark (Amy) and Miles (Heather), many cousins including RuthAnn, Michelle and Rita, her step children Stephanie, Kerre, Craig and Kristal. And Her pride and joy; her grandchildren Morgan, Taylor, Braxton, Zach, Hayley, Talisia and many more.

She will be extremely missed and we will have a hole in our hearts forever. We love you grandma Sharon! Say hi to Del, Michael, Dolly Parton, and Elvis Presley for us!
