Shirley Ann Elmore, of Casper, passed away peacefully on September 14th, surrounded by her loving family.

Shirley was born March 1st 1932 in Wheatland to George and Mary Ann Edmiston. She met the love of her life, John G. Elmore, Jr., in 1947, and the two were married on March 1, 1949. They were blessed with 72 years of marriage before John’s passing in 2021.

Shirley’s greatest dream was to have a family and care for them wholeheartedly. She devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always putting them first. Holidays were never complete without a gathering at “Gram’s house,” where love, laughter, and Shirley’s special touches made every celebration memorable.

She shared her passions for gardening, decorating, cooking, and most importantly her faith in the Lord. Shirley loved the Lord with all her heart and worked tirelessly to share His love with her family and community. Known as a true people person, she never met a stranger. Everywhere she went she made new friends through her kindness and joyful spirit.

Shirley is preceded in death by her beloved husband John, and her daughter Lynne. She is survived by her son Maurice Elmore and his wife Rita; her son-in-law Wade Weis; her grandchildren Shawn Weis and his wife Amanda and their children Allie, Sarah, and Jack; Schlee Weis; Jenny McKinney and her husband Dennis and their daughter Morgan; and Matthew Elmore and his wife Mica and their children Orrin and Ada. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who were touched by her love and faith.

Her family takes comfort knowing she is reunited with her beloved John in the presence of the Lord.
